Compliance & Accounting Operations Manager / Associate
👝 The Role
T9L is seeking a Compliance & Accounting Operations professional to anchor the finance governance framework across the venture studio and its portfolio entities. This role requires strong hands-on experience in statutory compliance, audit management, and internal controls, combined with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory discipline, audit readiness, and operational integrity across accounting operations, payroll, and governance processes. Working closely with finance leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional teams, the role will also support transaction-related activities, including due diligence for investments and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do
- Support accounting operations, including statutory books, management reporting, and period-end closures.
- Support statutory, internal, and special audits, including coordination with auditors and timely closure of audit observations.
- Ensure end-to-end tax and regulatory compliance across direct and indirect taxes, including filings, assessments, and liaison with advisors.
- Drive governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks, including SOPs, documentation, and segregation of duties.
- Support internal teams to strengthen and scale compliance processes as the organization and portfolio grow.
- Oversee payroll processing, employee benefit compliance, and statutory remittances across entities.
- Support ESOP structuring, administration, and compliance in coordination with legal and tax advisors.
- Maintain corporate secretarial compliance, including statutory filings, board processes, and governance documentation.
- Support compliance, accounting operations, and audit readiness across all group entities and investments, including financial and legal due diligence and coordination with legal and audit teams.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS) is mandatory; exposure to legal documentation, regulatory filings, and coordination with external law firms is preferred.
- 4–10+ years of relevant experience in compliance, accounting operations, or controllership roles.
- Strong working knowledge of statutory compliance, audit processes, and governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with payroll, employee benefits, and ESOP-related compliance.
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, multi-entity, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Prior experience in startups, media, technology, or investment-driven environments is a plus.
