Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager / Associate

👝 The Role

T9L is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to anchor financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across the venture studio and its portfolio entities. This role requires strong analytical rigor, financial modeling capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. The selected candidate will play a critical role in translating strategy into actionable financial plans, strengthening forecasting discipline, and enabling timely, data-driven decision-making across the organization. Working closely with leadership, finance teams, and business stakeholders, the role will support performance tracking, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives aligned with growth objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Own financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including annual operating plans and rolling forecasts across the venture studio and portfolio entities.
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, and provide clear, actionable insights on business performance to leadership.
  • Support financial controllership, consolidation, and management reporting, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity of financial data across entities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance management dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to enable effective leadership review and decision-making.
  • Partner closely with functional and business leaders to understand cost drivers, revenue dynamics, and investment priorities.
  • Support strategic initiatives through scenario analysis and data-driven decision support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes, including automation, standardization, and scalability of workflows.
  • Support FP&A activities across the venture studio as well as founder-led, studio-led, and acquired entities, working with multiple stakeholders and operating models.

What We're Looking For

  • 4–10+ years of hands-on FP&A experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong grounding in financial analysis, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Comfort working directly with leadership and cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • MBA is not mandatory; strong execution-oriented experience and analytical rigor are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools; exposure to ERPs and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Prior experience in startups, technology, media, or investment-oriented firms is preferred.
